Returns & Shipping

These policies apply to every shop on Rooted Marketplace.

Shipping

Each shop on Rooted sets its own handling time and shipping rates. You'll see the shop's handling time on every product page — shops that ship within 3 business days earn a "3-day shipping" trust shield. Custom and made-to-order items may take longer (typically 5–14 days). Tracking is added to your order as soon as the seller creates a shipping label.

Shipping costs are set by each shop and shown in your cart before checkout. Some shops offer free shipping or a free-shipping threshold (e.g. free over $50). When your cart includes items from more than one shop, each shop's shipping is calculated and displayed separately.

Returns

  • You have 7 days after delivery to request a return.
  • Once a return is requested, you have 7 days to ship the item back (14 days total from delivery).
  • Return shipping is paid by the customer — unless the shop has opted in to Free Returns, in which case the shop covers the return label. Look for the "Free returns" badge on the shop page.

Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, report it within 2 days of delivery with photos so we can file a Rooted Protection claim on your behalf. Damage claims filed after 2 days can't be honored.

Payment & Privacy

Payments are processed securely through Stripe — Rooted never sees or stores your card number. Your shipping address is shared only with the seller fulfilling your order, and sellers may not add you to mailing lists or share your information with third parties.

How to Start a Return

Have an account? Go to your account, find the order, and click Request return.

Checked out as a guest? Use our guest return lookup — enter your email and order number and we'll email you a secure link to start the return.
